Do you deliver and install the safe?
Yes. Delivery and bolt-down installation are included on most home and gun safe purchases. Larger commercial and TL-rated safes are quoted with delivery and install line-itemed because the job size varies.
What does it cost to open a locked safe?
It depends on the safe type, the lock type, and whether the safe needs to be drilled. Manipulation jobs are quoted hourly. Drill jobs are flat-rate. Call us with the make, model and lock style and we will give you a real number. More on safe opening here.
Can you move a safe I bought somewhere else?
Yes. We move safes from any source: garage sales, estate sales, office relocations, business closures. We also move safes you already own from one room of your home to another, between offices, or out of state. More on safe moving here.
What is the difference between a B-rate safe and a TL-15 safe?
B-rate is a build standard: 1/4″ steel door, 1/2″ steel body, key or combination lock. It deters opportunistic burglars. TL-15 is a UL test rating: a UL technician with tools cannot defeat the safe in 15 minutes of net working time. TL-30 is the same test for 30 minutes. TL-rated safes are required for some commercial insurance policies and for retail jewelers. We help you pick the right rating for your insurer and your contents.
Do you service safes from other brands?
Yes. We service AMSEC, Liberty, Browning, Fort Knox, Mesa, Hayman, Cannon and most other major brands. Combination changes, lock conversions, hinge repair, bolt-work repair, electronic lock replacement.
How do I know what size safe I need?
Start with what you want to put in it, then double the volume. Most customers underbuy safe capacity by half. Cash takes very little space; firearms and document binders take a lot. Call us with a list of what’s going in the safe and we will size it.
