BWB Series — B-Rate Commercial

Entry-level commercial burglary safe. 1/4″ steel door, 1/2″ steel body, UL Group 2 mechanical or UL Type 1 electronic lock. Right for: cash storage under $25,000, businesses without a TL requirement from insurance.

AMVAULT CE Series — UL TL-15

UL Listed TL-15. Substantial plate steel with concrete-amalgam barrier. Internal cabinet and locker options. Right for: pawn shops, cannabis retail, mid-tier jewelers, high-net-worth residential.

AMVAULT CF Series — UL TL-30 / TL-30×6

UL Listed TL-30 (door) or TL-30×6 (all six sides). Hardplate over the lock, multiple relockers. Right for: full-line jewelry retail, bullion dealers, high-end watch retailers.

BLR Series — UL TRTL-30×6

Torch and tool resistant on all six sides. The top tier outside of bank vault doors. Right for: bullion vaults, ultra-high-value retail, vault operators.

How to Pick the Right One

1. Get your insurance carrier’s spec sheet first. Many policies (Jewelers Mutual, Hanover, Hartford) specify minimum UL ratings for cash and inventory at risk.
2. Match the rating to the value you’re protecting: B-rate for under $25k, TL-15 for $50k-$250k, TL-30 above that, TL-30×6 if all-side coverage required.
3. Decide on internal config: cabinet + locker for jewelers (separate customer property), open interior for cash businesses.
4. Plan delivery: TL-rated safes are 800-3,500+ lbs. We need slab access, floor load capacity verified, and clearance for the install.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need TL-30 or will TL-15 do?

Depends on what your insurance carrier requires. A TL-15 is twice the safe a B-rate is; TL-30 is twice the safe a TL-15 is. If your carrier specifies TL-30, do not “save money” with TL-15 — the policy will deny the claim.

What does TL-30×6 mean?

UL tested 30 minutes of net working time on all six sides (front, back, top, bottom, left, right). Standard TL-30 is door-only. TL-30×6 protects against side/top/back attack.

Can I install a TL-rated safe on a second floor?

Sometimes. We assess floor load capacity (joist size, span, building age) before quoting. AMVAULT CF safes regularly exceed 2,000 lbs and require either slab install or verified floor reinforcement.

How long does delivery take?

TL-15 AMVAULT CE: 2-3 weeks. TL-30 / TL-30×6 CF: 4-8 weeks (typically build-to-order). Plan accordingly for new buildouts.

Will you document the install for my insurance file?

Yes. Written record of make, model, UL rating, anchor type, anchor depth, and torque. Often required by jewelers’ specialty carriers.
