The AMSEC Series We Sell
DSF Series — Standard Depository
Mid-tier B-rate construction. Slot or rotary hopper. Single or dual-lock. Right for: restaurants, retail under $20k daily revenue, gas stations, hotels, franchises.
BWB Depository — B-Rate Burglary Depository
BWB construction (1/4″ door, 1/2″ body) with top-load rotary hopper or front slot. Heavier and more pry-resistant. Optional fire rating. Right for: retail with daily cash over $20k, cannabis dispensaries (often state-required).
AMVAULT Depository — UL TL-Rated With Drop
UL TL-15 or TL-30 burglary safe with integrated rotary hopper. The drop function combined with UL burglary rating. Right for: jewelers, high-cash retail, insurance-mandated installs.
How to Pick the Right One
- What gets dropped? Envelopes only? Loose cash and coin? Both? Slot drops handle envelopes; rotary hoppers handle anything.
- How much cash sits in the safe between pickups? Low volume = B-rate (DSF/BWB). High volume or insurance-required = TL-rated AMVAULT depository.
- How many people need access? Single combination, dual control (two people required), or armored-carrier-only?
- Where does it install? Under-counter, freestanding floor, behind the bar, in a back office. Each has anchor and clearance implications.
Pricing
Pricing depends on series, size, lock type, and install location. Request a quote with your install address and what you’re protecting. We’ll get you a real number same-day.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does an anti-fish baffle work?
Inside the deposit slot is a curved or hinged plate that blocks any tool inserted backward through the slot. AMSEC’s baffle defeats common fishing tools (coat hangers, sticky tape on string).
Can I integrate a depository with my POS?
Some AMSEC electronic locks log every open/close with timestamp and user code, exportable for audit. Direct POS integration (safe knows till count) needs a third-party cash-management platform.
Do I need a depository if I use armored car service?
Yes. The depository protects cash between drops while it sits in your store. Armored carriers like Brinks and Loomis prefer a dedicated depository so they can deposit and pick up without opening the main door.
Do you service safes I bought elsewhere?
Yes. AMSEC, Hayman, Mesa, Hollon and most other depository brands. Combination changes, drop mechanism repair, electronic lock service, emergency openings.
What about dual-control for cannabis dispensaries?
Yes. Many AZ dispensary state regs require dual-control (two combinations or one combo + key, two people). We program dual-control on every depository we install where the customer requests it.
