BFII Series — Fire and Burglary

The flagship AMSEC home safe. UL Residential Security Container burglary rating plus a 2-hour fire rating tested to 1700°F. Solid steel door, concrete-amalgam fire fill, UL Type 1 lock, chrome relockers. Sizes from compact 24″ tall to full-height 60″. Right for: most homeowners who want one safe for both burglary and fire.

CSC Series — Compact Burglary and Fire

Smaller footprint, same construction as BFII. UL RSC burglary, 1-hour fire. Drops into a master closet, pantry corner, or under a bed frame. Right for: renters, condos, vacation homes, second-safe installs.

HS Series — High-Security Burglary

Heavier plate steel, less fire rating, more burglary protection. Used where fire risk is low and contents value is high. Right for: homeowners with a separate fireproof document safe who want a heavier safe for burglary deterrence.

How to Pick the Right One

1. List the contents: cash, jewelry, document binders, firearms, optics, ammo cans, hard drives, prescription meds, family heirlooms.
2. Measure the install location: closet floor space, doorway clearance, stair turn radius, ceiling height.
3. Double your contents estimate. Almost every customer underbuys capacity by half. Plan for what you will own in 5 years.
4. Pick the rating: BFII or CSC if fire matters; HS if only burglary protection is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the BFII really fireproof?

The BFII is fire-rated to 2 hours at 1700°F external (UL Class 350 1-hour standard, factory-tested 2-hour). Internal stays under 350°F, the threshold above which paper begins to char.

Mechanical or electronic lock?

Mechanical (dial) lasts decades and never needs batteries. Electronic (keypad) is faster, supports multi-user codes, needs a 9V battery once a year. Both UL Type 1 when factory-installed.

Should I bolt the safe down?

Yes. Two motivated thieves can carry an unbolted safe under 750 lbs out the door on a hand truck. Bolting takes 10 minutes and is included with delivery.

Where should I install it?

Master closet, garage corner against a load-bearing wall, basement, or a discreet first-floor closet. Avoid kitchens (humidity), exterior garage walls (heat), and anywhere visible from a window.

Do you service home safes after the sale?

Yes. Combination changes, lock conversions, battery service, hinge work, and emergency openings if you forget the code or the lock fails.
